# Icertis Platform Integrations

> How Vera Engage connects to Icertis Contract Intelligence for agreement creation, saving back, and repository sync.

Vera Engage integrates with Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) so you can create agreement records, save your work back to the platform, and pull ICI contracts into your repository, all without leaving Word.

Once the [ICI integration is configured](/administration), three connected experiences become available.

    Assemble an Icertis agreement record from your open document. Vera lifts attributes from the contract, holds the record for your review, and submits to ICI on your confirmation.

## Save agreements back to ICI

When a document opened from ICI is active in the Word add-in, Vera Engage can push your edited version back to the Icertis workflow as a new version.

    Open a document that has come from ICI in the Vera Engage Word add-in.

  <Step title="Reconnect & Upload (first time only)">
    The first time you open an ICI-sourced document, an **Icertis** section appears at the top of the admin panel with a **Reconnect & Upload** button. Click it to authenticate against ICI.

    A pop-up flashes briefly. Once authentication completes, the button changes to **Upload to workflow**.

    Click **Upload to workflow** to push the open document back to ICI as a new version of the workflow contract.

  Reconnect & Upload is one-time per user, per environment. After the first authentication, only the **Upload to workflow** action is needed.

## Repository sync

A connected ICI source imports agreements automatically, on a schedule or on demand, and keeps them in sync. Import filters scope what comes across so you are not syncing your entire instance, and families group masters with their amendments.
