# Tips

> A few things worth knowing before your first review with Vera Engage.

Vera Engage works inside your live Word document, which means a handful of behaviors are worth knowing up front. None of them are hard to work around, but all of them are easier to handle if you are expecting them.

    A pricing table, signature block, or term sheet pasted into a document as an image reads as blank. The agent cannot see it.

    Keep commercial terms as text. If you have received a document where key terms are images, the agent will tell you which files or sections it could not read.

    Redlines and comments are inserted under your own name, not the AI's. This is deliberate, so your counterparty sees your work.

    For that to hold, the **Agent name** in your Vera Engage settings needs to match the author name in Word. If the two differ, Word treats them as two separate authors and shows the agent's changes and your own in two different colors.

  <Accordion title="Resolve open suggestions before restructuring a paragraph" icon="scissors">
    Splitting, merging, or rewriting a paragraph while a proposed redline is still open can leave the suggestion pointing at text that has moved.

    Accept or reject what is open first, then restructure.

    Applying a batch of redlines takes a moment, and the button stays disabled until the batch applies.

    Every response has thumbs up and thumbs down controls. The rating persists with the conversation and goes directly to the product team.

    If a response is wrong, rate it down. It is read.
