Navigation Overview

Vera Engage runs in two places: a Microsoft Word add-in for contract work in the document, and a web app for chats, workspaces, and repositories. This page shows where to find the main controls in each.

Word Add-in

Chat

The add-in opens to the Chat by default. This is where you work with the Chat Agent alongside the open document.

Bottom-left controls: New chat, Attach context, Chat history, Agent settings. See Chat for what each one does. The bottom-right menu bar that is the blue circle persists as you navigate the add-in. Hover over it to expand. To return to the Chat from anywhere, click the conversation bubble icon.

The Library: your reusable toolkit

The Library holds reusable prompts, skills, memories, and clauses your team shares across chats, playbooks, and drafting. Access it from the library icon in the floating menu (or the three-dot menu) in the add-in, and from the left navigation in the web app. → See Library for asset types, sharing, and navigation. Selecting the hamburger icon opens the menu below. Click in the gray space on the right to close it.

Item	What it does
Reconnect & Upload	Authenticate against your synced Icertis repository (ICI); the item then becomes Upload to workflow. Requires configuration and is only available for Icertis customers. See Icertis Platform Integrations for the full flow.
Clauses	Open your clause library to view saved clauses.
Memory	View your saved memories.
Prompts	View, edit, and add to your saved prompts.
Remove Document Protection	Download a new version of the open document with content controls removed.
Reset File Metadata	Clear Vera Engage metadata and local add-in state for the open document. Redlines and comments already inserted into the document remain; chat history and playbook runs are not deleted.
Reload Vera Engage Add-in	Refresh the add-in.
Help	Open an email to support@dioptra.ai.
Account	Open your Word add-in account settings.
Logout	Log out of the add-in. You will need to log back in the next time you open it.

Web App

Area	What it does
Chat	The AI chat assistant. Create and edit documents, brainstorm, analyze, summarize, query your repository, and more.
Workspaces	Visit workspaces you have created, including your playbooks, or create new ones.
Repository	Access connected document repositories to query their contents with the chat assistant and generate reports.
Flows	Build and run multi-step workflows.
Library	Reusable prompts, skills, memories, and clauses your team shares.
Admin	Manage your organization, users, Icertis integration, and SSO settings.
