Prompting Tips
Best Practices
- Give context - what party you are, what matters most to you, your general stance or bargaining power, etc.
- Give specific instructions - the format you want for the outputs, the specific data points you want included, etc.
Vocabulary
- Use “markdown” to get the generated text in the Chat that can be copied without redlines.
- Use “redline” to get proposed redlines in the Chat to apply in your document
- Use “citation” to get clickable fields to quickly navigate to the applicable section of your document
- Use “Create guidelines” to build playbooks in the Chat
- Use “Clean Up” to have the agent check your agreement for definition errors, cross-reference errors, missing information, and other errors in your agreement.
- Use “Table” to have Chat generate a table and describe what you want for each column and row. You can even tell it to highlight certain information or cells in one or more colors. For the table, if you want it to extract specific language from the agreement and show redlines, state “include the specific language from the document and show all <ins> and <del>.”
